Teddy Byrd is a High school ag science teacher - 25 years of working with young adults. Hunting guide - 10 years. Texas hunter Safety education instructor - 20 years. Lifelong hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
I enjoy working with young people. it is the kind of job that keeps you young. I took a job in Cotulla, TX, after graduation. It was the perfect place for a hunter - in the heart of South Texas, some of the best whitetail hunting in Texas.
I got my early desire and training for the outdoors from my grandfather. He was quail and deer hunter - always had a quail dog in the backyard. After my children graduated from college, I realized a lifelong dream - a safari to Africa. My wife and I had so much fun that we stated planning the next trip on the plane ride home!
I have a lot of interests. I like to read, play golf, snow ski and scuba dive. I love to fish in saltwater and also like to bowfish. I have recently taken up archery. There is nothing like the thrill of being just feet away from wildlife. I hope that it will someday lead me th a shot at a bugling Elk!.
